Rhythms of the Inter-Island' is designed to draw visitors’ and residents’ attention to often overlooked qualities and dimensions of the relationships that characterize and distinguish life on the islands, by making them accessible to auditory experience, enjoyment, and reflection.

Two artistes living on outlying islands interact with voices, rhythms, drums and sounding objects on board, and talk with the wind and waves, and appreciate the emotions and impressions of the ferry for more than 30 years.

Join Praya Art Space for a special rooftop concert. We've invited DJs, sound performers, and musicians to play music inspired by the sea.

Sharing of the picture book 'The Best Sound in the World', followed by a strolling around Cheung Chau, allowing us to experience the sceneries through our ears in forms of sound.

Experience the pre-recorded environmental sounds of non-human islanders, such as plant, river, and animals, and listening to their daily lives.

In this English-language poetry writing workshop, participants will be briefly introduced to the short story 'Stone' by the Hong Kong writer Ng Hui Bun, and compose their own poems around natural objects like stones, shells, or leaves.
