Departure is my Homecoming

'Water Dwellers’ may forever remain strangers to the land. Their ancestors might not have remembered their choice to live on the sea. However, later on, for the sake of their descendants, they returned to the land, carrying the last remnants of their entire family after their final journey of drifting between the sea and the shore. Drawing inspiration from personal and local history, I step into another end of time and space in Cheung Chau to observe the place where we find ourselves today.

Edwin Chuk Yin-man @Feast on Waste Land: Graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts of Hong Kong Baptist University in 2018. He is one of the founding members of performing art collectives ‘Feast on Waste Land’. Image and theatre art are the media he is currently focusing on.
